Mrs. Margaret Louise Cason Burch, of St. Marys, Ga, returned to her Heavenly home Christmas Eve, 2016, after 75 years on this Earth.

She was wife of the late Roger Evans, the late J.T. Blount, Sr., and the late Ed Burch. She was daughter of the late Rev. Alfred Joel & Zella Margaret Sedgwick Cason.

She is survived by her sister, Janette Phelan of Waycross, Ga. and brother, Kenneth Byrd of Callahan, Fl. Mrs. Burch helped raise nine children, Elizabeth Blount (Nancy) of Crescent City, Fl., Marianne Graf-Thomas of Blackshear, Ga., Janice McCormick (Mike) of Humble, Tx., Jonnie Mericle (Bob) of St. Augustine, Fl., Bridgette Blount-Goss (John), Bellaire, Tx., Steve Blount (Harriette) of Kingsland, Ga., the late Ronald Blount, Sr., John Terry Blount, Jr., of Kingsland, Ga., and Lisa Moore (Wade) of Kingsland, Ga.. Grandma Margaret was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Burch joins her husband, C. Edward Burch and her son, Ronald Blount, Sr. in Heaven.

She will be remembered by family and friends as always being proud of her children. Mama never missed an opportunity to introduce us to her friends, no matter how many times she had already made introductions. She loved music and loved to dance. Holidays were always a special time for her. She showed love to all her family by spending many hours in the kitchen cooking everyone’s favorites. She will be most remembered for sharing the love of Jesus Christ to all of her children and to those around her. This is her most treasured legacy.

Calling hours for Mrs. Burch’s family will be from 11 to 11:50 on Friday, December 30th, 2016 with the funeral service to follow at 12 in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Zane Owens will preside. The pall bearers will be Mrs. Burch’s Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be residents & staff of the Coastal Senior Assisted Living facility in St. Marys, Ga., who she considers her extended family.

Interment and committal prayer will be held at the Kettle Creek Church Cemetery in Waycross, Ga. following the service.
