BOWLING, Jean Nash, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, January 11, 1996, at her home. She was the wife of Arthur Lee Bowling. Mrs. Bowling was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Robert Virgil Nash and Cora Daisy Martin Nash. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher and Officer, and was a member of the Dorcas Class. She attended Jefferson High School and National Business College in Roanoke, was a former member of Woodside Garden Club of Lynchburg, and Exemplar of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Arthur Lee Bowling Jr. and his wife, Lynn Kingery Bowling of Decatur, Ga.; her daughter, Patty Page Bird and her husband, Steven Lee Bird of Fredericksburg; her grandchildren, Ross and Kathryn Bowling and Jonathan and Adam Bird.
