Stringer Rites Set Tuesday at Holley Springs
Funeral services will be held in the Holley Springs Methodist Church this afternoon at 2 o'clock for Walter L. Stringer, 73, Rt. 2, Ben Wheeler.
He was the father of Mrs. Joe H. Owen, Athens.
Burial will be in the Holley Springs Cemetery, with masons in charge at the graveside.
A native of the Martins Mill area. Mr. Stringer lived most of his lifetime in Van Zandt County. He had been a member of the Methodist Church since 1903.
He married the former Miss Ora Nixon, who survives.
Other survivors besides his widow include two daughters, Mrs. Joe H. Owen of Athens and Mrs. Gordon F. Morrow of Muskogee, Oklahoma; two brothers J. D. Stringer of Tyler and C. B. Stringer of Gainesville; 4 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
