The funeral for Raymond H. Steed, 65, 116 W. Ida, Lansing will be at 2 .m. Saturday in the Belden Sexton Sumpter Funeral Chapel. Burial will begin Sunset Memory Gardens. Mr. Steed died early today in Cushing Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1914, at Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Ray and Sylvia Coulter Steed.

He retired from the Beverly Lumber Company in 1972 because of a disability. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II and he was a member of Teamster Local 541.

He married Helen Jean Jones March 26, 1942. She survives at the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sally Dian Kenyon, and Mrs. Sheryl Rae Simpson, both of Leavenworth: a sister, Mrs. Vera Sherley, Lansing, and a grandson.

Friends may call at the chapel after 9 a.m. Friday. The family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund.
