The Falls City Journal, Falls City, Nebraska, Tuesday, March 6, 1956:

Mrs. Agnes Volz, 73, Passes at Hospital
Mrs. Agnes Volz, 73, a lifelong resident of Richardson county, died at 8 o'clock last evening, Mar. 5, 1956 at Community hospital, where she had been a patient since Feb. 11. She had been in failing health for about a year.
A daughter of the late Rudolph and Ellen Schroeder, Mrs. Volz was born in Rulo July 24, 1882, and lived in that vicinity all her life. She attended the Rulo schools and later was graduated from Peru State Teachers college at Peru. For 46 years Mrs. Volz taught in the town of Rulo, retiring in 1953.
On Oct. 28, 1940, she was married to Albert Volz and the couple established their home on a farm northwest of Rulo. They left the farm and moved to Rulo eight years ago. Mr. Volz died Nov. 27, 1955.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Burke, Rulo, and Mrs. Evelyn Jordan, Sacramento, Calif.
The body is at the Chaney-Hodgens-Sharrar funeral home, where the rosary will be recited Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The time of the funeral service will be announced later.
