Gene Macallen Allred, 87, formerly of Napa, passed away on February 23, 2011 at Feather River Hospital in Paradise. He was born on November 8, 1923 in Grandview, Arkansas to Stillie Mack and Opal (Wood) Allred. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a retired machinist from Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty (Vincent) Allred; his son, James Allred; and his brother, Hoyt Dillon Allred. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Neade of Paradise. At his request, there will be no funeral services. Private interment will be in Tulocay Cemetery.
