Obituary

William H. Geigley died at his home in this city last Sunday, September 20, 1908, at 8 p.m., aged 82 years, 3 months and 25 days. He lost his eyesight three years ago and has been on a steady decline since. He was born in Harrison County, Virginia, May 25, 1826. Mr. Geigley was married to Miss Sibbeann Kinney in Grundy County, Missouri, June 11, 1857. To this union ten children were born, six of whom are now living as follows; I. W. Geigley, Ed Geigley and Misses Belle and Alta Geigley of this city, Mrs. Bettie Blackford of Oak Dale and J. D. Geigley of Webb City, Missouri. Mr. Geigley and family moved to this city last March from Stuttgart, Kansas, (should be Arkansas), and have made many friends who deeply sympathize with the family in their bereavement. He was honorable and upright in every detail of his life and as a citizen stood in the highest esteem. The funeral services were held at the Christian church at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 1908, conducted by Rev. R. B. Havener. His remains were laid to rest in the I.O.O.F cemetery.

SHELBYVILLE, Mo., Sept. 23— Mr. William H. Geigley died at his home in this city last Sunday, aged 82 years. He lost his eyesight three years ago and has been on a steady decline since. He was born in Harrison county, Virginia May 25, 1826. Mr. Geigley was married to Miss Sibbeann Klnney in Grundy county, Mo., June 11, 1857. To this union ten children were born, six of whom are now living as follows: I. W. Geigley, Ed Geigley and Misses Belle and Alta Geigley of this city, Mrs. Bettie Blackford of Oak Dale and J. D. Geigley of Webb City, Mo. Mr. Geigley and family moved to this city last March from Stuttgart, Kan.
