Mrs. Agnes Hutto Cope, 87, of Swansea, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Salem Baptist Church in North with the Rev. Randy Lucas and the Rev. Frank Settle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 3 p.m.
Mrs. Cope was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late David M. and Rosa Redmond Hutto. She graduated from Winthrop University and was a retired high school teacher. She was a member of the S.C. Educational Association, Retired, and Salem Baptist Church. She was married to the late Warren Lee Cope.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Beth Cope, of Gaston; a granddaughter and husband, Ashley and Will Yarbrough, of Charleston; a grandson, Brantley Cope, of Gaston; and a brother, David L. Hutto, of Swansea.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Cope, 1260 Mack St., Gaston.
Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church.
