Mary Jane Summers, daughter of Abraham and Jane Chinoweth, was born in Huntington county, Indiana, January 28, 1863. She departed this life at her home in Salem township, Steuben county, Indiana, September 8, 1945, at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 10 days.
When a young girl, she came with her parents to Salem township, where she spent all her life. She was united in marriage to William Summres January 10, 1885. One child was born to this union.
She leaves to mourn her son, Martin, who lived with his mother, and also nephews and friends.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. J. E. Jones were held in the Salem Center Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Wright cemetery.
