James Daniel Sneed at the time of his death was working and living in Jacksboro. From what has been handed down, he died a few weeks after the explosion in Jacksboro from injuries he had suffered in the explosion.James died on Nov. 11,1906 at the age of 39, leaving 6 children and his wife, Monerra Ann Sneed.
Monerra married a second time on the 14th of Nov 1908 to Charly Stepp. They had 2 sons Virgle Stepp and Willie Stepp. Monerra outlived her second husband and one son. All are buried in Campbell Co. Many of James and Monerra's children all lived and died in and around Campbell County.
