ARLINGTON — Mrs. James Rasmussen, 41, the former owner of a beauty shop, died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 1972) in a Madison hospital after a long illness.
The former Helen Swanson operated Helen's Beauty Shop in Arlington until two years ago. She was a graduate of the Harper Method Beauty School, Madison.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Arlington Garden Club, and the Beloit Eastern Star chapter.
Surviving are her husband, whom she married in 1955; three children, Cynthia, James, and Patricia, all at home; two
brothers, Carl and Ernest, both of Beloit;and a sister, Mrs. Ebba Byers, Beloit.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hamre Funeral Home.
The family asked that flowers be omitted and suggested memorials to the church.
