87, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, in Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Beloit, the son of Earnest and Ebba (Holm) Swanson. Carl was veteran of the United States Marine Corp., serving with the 1st Marine Air Wing VMB 413. Carl was previously employed for 27 years as a letter carrier with the Beloit Post Office, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Beckman Mill and Beloit Historical Society. Carl loved yard work and going to auctions. He was predeceased by his parents; two sons, Stephen and Robert Swanson; brother and sister-in-law, Earnest (Ione) Swanson; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ebba (Jim) Byers and Helen (Jim) Rasmussen.
