Roy Buckelew, 67, of Arkadelphia died Thursday, August 18th 2005. He was born December 25, 1937 in Stratford, OK, the son of the late Garland & Edna Hunt Buckelew.
He was a professor of speech communications at Ouachita Baptist University for twenty years and served as chairman of that department. He served as pastor of numerous churches in Oklahoma, Texas, California, and Arkansas since he began preaching at age 14. He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Louise Jaggars Buckelew, two daughters, Edie Buckelew of Springfield, MO and K. A. Buckelew of Arkadelphia, one brother, Gene Buckelew of Yucca Valley, CA, and one grandson, Yosha Gorham of Arkadelphia.
