Born: Texas (census)
Died: Arkadelphia, AR

Garland's mother was Pearl (unk) BUCKELEW, and I believe the census shows his father was also named Garland. She had settled in Stratford, OK in the 1930 census, a widow, with several children, Garland, being the oldest.
He married Edna Ruth (Hunt) 21 May 1932, in Pontotoc Co. OK.
Family Trees for this family say they had eight children.
A baby, Norma Ruth BUCKELEW, is in McGee Cem, died in 1943.

Both Garland and Edna died in Arkadelphia, Clark Co. Arkansas, and they both died a short time apart.
Garland's name was listed in the old McGee Free Will Baptist church records and Center Association, in Pontotoc Co. OK, as being Sun. School Supt. He also served on various committees, etc in the District, showing he was active in the church.
