Mrs. Laura C. Benner died at 11 o'clock this morning in her home at 104 North Carlyle avenue.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Tarrant Funeral home, where friends may call Sunday evening and until time for services, and burial will be in the Abingdon cemetery.

FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. T.S. BENNER
Funeral services for Mrs. T.S. Benner were held Tuesday afternoon in the Tarrant Funeral home in charge of the Rev. R.C. Calderwood, pastor of the Methodist church of Abingdon. Organ selections were played by Mrs. Frank Graves.
Flowers were cared for by Miss Esther Anderson, Miss Helen Cole, Miss Betty Day, Miss Vera Norval, Miss Evelyn Johnson, Miss Marion Turney, Miss Doris Haines, Miss Audrey Cutler, Mrs. George Anderson, Mrs. Earl Harvis, Mrs. Paul Nelson, Mrs. Blondy Holstein, Mrs. E.L. Miller, Mrs. Don Cruiser.
Casketbearers were George Anderson, Philip Cramer, Paul Nelson, Fred Foltz, Harold Wright and E.T. Brounson. Interment was in the Abingdon cemetery.
Laura Chamberlain, daughter of William and Wilhelmina Chamberlain, was born in Bunker Hill, Ill., and educated in the schools of that town. March 16, 1892, she married Theodore S. Benner. After living in Council Bluffs, Ia., for two years, they moved back to Bunker Hill, where they resided until 1914, when they came to Abingdon.
Mrs. Benner was a member of the various organizations of the local Methodist church, also of the Eastern Star and the W.C.T.U., and a charter member of the American Legion auxiliary. Besides her husband she is survived by three children - Mrs. Albert Metcalf of Jacksonville, Theodore C. and George W. Benner of Abingdon.
There are also three grandchildren, John and Philip Benner of Abingdon and Ralph Benner of Altadena, Cal. One son preceded his mother in death.
