John Calvin Hill, 63, Dies in Hospital
John C. Hill, 63, died early today in Henry County Memorial hospital. He had been in poor health for several months.
Born March 3, 1908, he was the son of ulysses Grant and Edna Hill. He had been a resident of new Castle and Henry County since 1944.
Mr. Hill had been employed at Chrysler Corporation here, Crosby Corporation at Richmond, and most recently at Brooks Foods,in Mt.Summit. He was a member of Christian Plgrim Church and Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving ar his wife Lavinia; four daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Fultz, Kennard, Mrs. Paul (Lulabelle) Cmehil, Milford, Ohio, Mrs. DeWayne (Carolyn) Moses, New Castle, and Christine, at home; Five sons, John, Henry and Timothy D. Hill all of New Castle, Wylie, at home, and Scott Hill, Mooreland; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Eldridge, Sciotoville, Ohio; 22 grandchhildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Helen, preceded him in death in 1940
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Christian Pilgrim Church, 27th and State Streets., with Rev. George Martin, and Rev. Edward Pease officiation. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery.
The body will be removed from Macer Funeral Home to the residence, 1507 Alabama Sr., where friends may call after 3p.m. Wednesday. The body will lie in state at the church after noon Thursday.
