Mr. Sorrells was born 14 Feb. 1875 in Greene Co., IL to Levi Jeremiah and Generee Adelia Newingham Sorrells. He married Miss Amy Dugger Aug. 2, 1895 at Mt. Sterling.
Surviving are his wife; five sons, Lemuel of Yates City, Ethan of Mariette, Leonard of Berwick, Everett of Avon, and Vilasco of Avon, with whom the parents made their home; four daughters, Mrs. Letha Larson of Abingdon, Miss Gertrude Sorrells of Washington D.C., Mrs. Lena Larson of Berwick, and Mrs. Vivian Ruhl of St. Augustine; 28 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
