Death Was Due To Heart Disease After Illness Lasting Only a Few Hours.
Mrs. E. A. Grant, 75 years of age, the widow of Dr. E. A. Grant, and mother of the late Dr. Thomas Page Grant, died suddenly at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 740 South Second street. Death was due to heart disease. Mrs. Grant had been in apparently good health until several days ago, when she complained of feeling ill. Despite her advanced age, she was able to get about and was not forced to take to her bed.
She was born in Frankfort in 1826, and was the daughter of Joseph Clark[sic] and Harriet Julian Clark[sic], one of the best-known families of that city. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian church, and was prominent in church circles. She leaves a daughter, Miss Bettie Grant, of this city, and two sons, D. Alford and Charles Clark Grant, both of Cleveland.
