Mrs. Denney was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was employed as a dietary aide in various care facilities in the Fairfield area.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield. She was also a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

Survived by five children: John, Mary, Paul, Martaret, and Michael.

Preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kenneth.

DENNEY, Marie -- Marie DENNEY, 82, of Fairfield, died today, Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

DENNEY, Marie Isabelle -- Marie Isabelle DENNEY, 82, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. Following the service, Mrs. DENNEY's body will be donated to science, and a private burial of cremains will be held at a later date for the family.

A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, followed by a wake with the family present.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, Polishville Community Cemetery or Nelson Nursing Home. Cards and memorials may be sent to 6455 County Road 105 NW, Byron, MN 55920.

Mrs. DENNEY was born July 20, 1926, in Fairfield, the daughter of Pete and Christine DRISH POHREN.

Mrs. DENNEY was a 1944 graduate of Fairfield High School. She married Orville L. DENNEY Nov. 4, 1950, in Fairfield. He died May 5, 2005.

Mrs. DENNEY was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was employed as a dietary aide in various care facilities in the Fairfield area.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield. Her memberships include St. Mary's Ladies Auxiliary, and she was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include five children, John DENNEY and wife Linda of California, Mary EVANS of Fairfield, Paul DENNEY of Minnesota, Margaret HOLM and husband Phil of Ottumwa and Michael DENNEY and wife Laura of Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenneth DENNEY; and three grandchildren.
