Died 1:07 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 1989, in Baton Rouge. He was 63, a native of Waldo, Ark., and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired construction foreman and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He received the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and three Purple Hearts.
Visiting at Hollabaugh-Spindle Wooddale Memorial Chapel, 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by wife, Joyce Levon Mayo; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Brenda and Adrian C. Bach, Dianne Redstone, Janet and Mark Hutson, all of Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack Warren and Pamela Jo Hall Mayo, Walker; two sisters, Dorothy Warren and Joyce Phelps, both of El Dorado, Ark.; a brother, John Mayo, Marshall, Texas; and 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Mattie Frances Mayo; and two brothers, Hilliard C. and Curtis J. Mayo.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Goodwood Church of Christ.
