Dorothy Warren Stevens, 90, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

She was born June 7, 1928, to Jack Gamble and Mattie Frances Duncan Mayo in Waldo. She was a beautician for over 40 years and the owner of Dorothy’s Beauty Shop. Dorothy was a faithful member of Immanuel
Baptist Church where she served and attended the Joy Sunday school class. She enjoyed fishing and hunting in her retirement. She became a caregiver at an early age and continued throughout her life. Dorothy loved cooking, sewing and serving her Lord, family, and church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband of 43 years, Buster Warren; husband of 20 years, H.J. Stevens; grandson, John Sherril Beebe, IV; brothers, Hilliard, Curtis, J.W., and John Mayo; sister, Joyce Phelps; step-sister, Gladys Cox and step-daughter, Karen Wilson.

Survivors include her children, Randy Warren (Pam) of Crossett, Vicki Atkinson (Randy), of Hot Springs, Patti Paulus (Sam) of El Dorado; step-son, David Stevens (Dora) of El Dorado; grandchildren are, Ashley Solomon (Richie), Jim Warren (Aly), Leigh Thompson (Kevin), Courtney Paulus, Cari Filer (Will), Amber Spencer (John), Aleck Gayle, Amanda Thompson, Britt Stevens; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Meek officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
