Born and raised in Anna, Illinois. Don served three years in the Marine Corp during the Korean War where he worked on Leatherneck magazine, a publication about the Marines. Don took that experience in publishing and went to work for Omega Press in Lombard as a printer. When that company went out of business in 1973 he started his own, Tempo Graphics in Carol Stream, Illinois. He specialized in commercial printing, including direct-mail packages, and expanded his company over the years to 130 employees. Don was a forty year resident of Wheaton. He served as the President of Riverside Golf Club during the 1990's. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Harriett; daughters Cindy Czarnowski, Kim Carroll, Mary Beth Fitzgerald and Vicki Chase; sons Tim and Richard, sisters Susan Nasser and Mary Ellen Coffman, and brother Michael Chase and many grandchildren.
