Michael Gene Chase, age 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. Mike was born June 18, 1939, in Anna, IL, to John Gibbs Chase and Elizabeth (Jones) Chase.
He graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School. Mike served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He proudly owned his own printing company in Scottsdale, AZ before moving back to Illinois, where he worked with his brother, Don at Tempo Graphics. Mike loved life and spending time with his family and friends, whom he adored. He was an entertainer, who catered to everyone. Mike enjoyed golfing and traveling.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Judi (Mathison) Chase; daughter, Tracy Lynn (Chase) Johnson (Jim Rasmussen); son, David Michael Chase (Adikus); grandsons, Ryan Michael Johnson (Stephanie) and Kyle David Johnson (Thea); one great-grandson, Zachary Ryan Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents; late wife, Peg (Christy) Chase; sisters, Mary Ellen, Susan, and Peg; and brother, Don.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 2300 Washington Avenue, where Mike and Judi are members. Pastor Don Gray will be officiating. Burial will be private at a later date in Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
