Mrs. Martha James Imes, 87, aged resident of this city, died at 10 this morning at the home of her son, Chase B. Imes, 1115 Elston. Death was attributed to the affirmities of age.
The deceased was born in Ohio, Oct. 21, 1850, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James Pollock. She was married in Monticello, Dec. 9, 1875, to Newton B. Imes, who died in 1909.
Survivors include the son, C.B. Imes, three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Coonrod, Monticello. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but services and burial will be held in Monon.
