Caroline Ballard Parsons, 75, long-time resident of Muncie and widow of Darrall R. Parsons, died Thursday afternoon at the family home.

She attended Washington Elementary School, Mrs. Emerson's Country Day School, and graduated from Muncie High School in 1922. She also attended DePauw University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Mrs. Parsons was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist; Kappa Kappa Gamma Alums, Alpha Associate chapter of Tri Kappa sorority, and was a life member of the YWCA. She was also a member of the Muncie Art Students League, Muncie Matinee Musicale, was a trustee of Muncie Public Library, and was a patroness of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Honorary.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Nancy) Leonard, Bloomington; a son, David C. Parsons, Muncie; a brother, William T. Church, Muncie; four grandchildren, Daryl Ann Leonard, Milwaukee, Wis., Joanne Leonard, Bloomington, Carolyn Sue Parsons, St. Louis, Mo., and Thomas B. Parsons, Memphis, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband died May 4, 1980.

Services will be in Meeks Mortuary at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Private interment will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery Saturday. Friends may call at the mortuary form 6-9 p.m. today and anytime before the services Friday. Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
