Funeral services for Mrs. Winnie B. Pullen of Winona were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011, at Oliver Chapel, with burial following in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Winona. A visitation was held on Monday, from 9 a.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pullen died of heart failure at her home on Friday, November 11. She was 97 years old.

Mrs. Pullen was the daughter of the late Ned and Carrie Taylor and the widow of the late J. D. Pullen. She was a homemaker and a member of North Winona Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Crossroads Lions Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Shirley of Winona, Betty Eskridge of Winona, and Carolyn Pullen of Memphis; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Fielder, Chuck Sheffield, Myron Braswell, Gene McNeer, Lawrence Braswell, and Billy Carpenter. Honorary pallbearer was James Biggers.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Winona Baptist Church, 602 Alberta Drive, Winona, MS 38967; or to Moore Memorial United Methodist Church Family Life Center, P. O. Box 467, Winona, MS 38967.
