Arthur Vernon Taylor

Arthur Vernon Taylor, 90, a retired Winona farmer and school bus driver, died Monday morning, October 17, 1988, at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital of congestive heart failure after a lengthy illness.

The Tallahatchie County native was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Blaylock Taylor of Winona, a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte T. Johnson of Winona, a sister, Mrs. Winnie B. Pullen of Winona, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted from Oliver Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 19. The Rev. Frank Bishop, assisted by the Rev. W.M. Hull, officiated. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herbert McCoy, V.H. Boatman, Fred Locke, Danny Johnson, Rodger Johnson, Barney Upchurch. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of North Winona Baptist. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
