September 25, 1969:

Services for Mrs. Gustav (Christina) Job, 70, of Ipswich were held at Zion Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Leland Gram officiating and burial in Ipswich Cemetery(now Holy Cross Cemetery).

Mrs. Job, who died Monday at the Gettysburg hospital, was born May 9, 1899, at Venturia, North Dakota, and later lived at Leola. She was married in 1916 to Christian Kiesz, who died in 1923. In the following year she was married to Mr. Job and they have lived in rural Ipswich since 1925.

Survivors include her husband Gustav; 7 sons, Albert Kiesz of Roscoe, Alfred Kiesz of Ogden, Utah, Reinhold of Aberdeen, Raymond of Central Point, Oregon, Clarence of Bend, Oregon, Walter of Hampton, New Hampshire, and Edwin of Ipswich; six daughters, Anne Kiesz Heitz and Lila Job Haar, Ipswich, Virginia Job Bell of Spearfish, Joan Job Smith of Bend, Oregon, Elaine Job Hornaman of Aberdeen, and Janice Job Hammrich of Yakima, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kranzler of Ipswich and Mrs. Emma Meyer of Mobridge; one brother, John Gugel of Oregon; 56 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

A son and a brother also preceded Mrs. Job in death. Arrangements were in charge of the Hein Funeral Home.
