NEWPORT: Betty J. (Fry) Weidenhof, 77, of Newport, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011. Born in Newport to her late parents, Glenn and Mabel Fry.

In addi-tion to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William J. Weidenhof Jr., son, Michael Collier Weidenhof, grandson, Jonathan Weidenhof, and great grandson, Kevin Collier Weidenhof.

Surviving are her three (Fry) sisters; Arlene Fenicle, Edith Miller and Doris Weidenhof. Also surviving are her six children; William, Theresa (spouse James Wilson), Steve (spouse Carrie Carr), James (spouse Kimberly), Carl (spouse Dena), Tim (spouse Becky Kanagy) and widowed spouse Debra Walkowiak. Equally loved were her 21 grand-children, 23 great grand-children and five great great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was a member of the Newport American Legion Auxillary. Since a young girl, she worked at Heishmans Restaurant in New Kingston, Hbg Uptown Pharmacy, Friendly Tavern, Clarks Ferry Diner, Liverpool and Duncannon Dress factories and Hbg Steel Mill.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 6-8 p.m. from the David Myers Funeral Home, Walnut Street, Newport. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Newport Family Life Center, Shortcut Road, Newport with Pastor Robert Barbour officiating.
