Son of Neal Simpson and Melvina Huggins Campbell, husband of Georgia Hattie Weatherford.


FLORENCE - L. B. Campbell Sr., 84, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was a son of the late Neal and Mellie Huggins Campbell.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. C. C. Hemby of Wilmington, N.C., Mrs. Chester Skeen of Florence, Mrs. R. R. Baine of Marion, Mrs. E. J. Rowan Jr. of Richmond, Va., Mrs. W. W. Smith of Charleston, Mrs. S. W. Dozier of Charlotte, N.C. and Mrs. Rupert L. Lane of Marion; five sons, Leon B. Campbell, Jr. of Columbia, George L. Campbell of Easley, Howard D. Tims Jr. of Florence, Jack C. Tims and Charles H. Tims of Marion; three sisters, Mrs. C. S. McLellan and Mrs. Homer McLellan of Florence, and Mrs. L. H. Guess of Columbia; and a brother, W. C. Campbell of Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Marion Baptist Church, with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
