WAKEFIELD, R.I. - Mary Anne (nee: Mullenberg) Tomkiewicz, 70, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2011, with her husband of 47 years Frederick G. Tomkiewicz Sr. by her side. She spent her final days surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 18, 1940 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late Dolores (nee: Mullenberg) Klinkhammer and the late Louis Klinkhammer of Racine. She moved to Rhode Island in 1982 but always called Wisconsin home. She visited her large, loving family in Wisconsin often. Her life passion was her family. Her heart was filled with the giving spirit. She was a stay at home mom while she raised her children. She always opened her home and heart to anyone she met, including all of her kid's friends. She was an avid volunteer working with the Women's Club and other local charities. She is survived by her children, Frederick G. Tomkiewicz Jr., Cherie (nee: Tomkiewicz) Conover and her husband Peter Conover, all of Wakefield, R.I. , and Debbie (nee: Tomkiewicz) Cline and her husband John Cline of Mascoutah, Ill. She was an amazing and very loving grandmother to Andrew Cline, Justin, Evan, and Benjamin Conover. She was very proud of her grandsons and they brought her great joy. She has many loving family members in Wis. The large loving extended Thomas family, The Klinkhammers, The Mullenbergs and The Fryes have always been dear to her heart. We all have many cherished memories with her. She has many nieces and nephews in Wis., Conn., N.H., Ore., Minn., Fla and Ill. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 4, 2011, 10 a.m. at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Sean Granger officiating.
