Booneville, KY – George Michael Bowling, 42, of Route 1, died suddenly, April 15, 2008. He was a Baptist and a laborer/farmer. He was born at Oneida, Kentucky on October 20, 1965, to Charley T. (died 6-19-82) and Dollie Marshall Bowling. He is survived by two children, daughters, Brandon Herald and Shanelle Bowling, both of Booneville; a grandson, Trevor Michael Scott Bowling of Booneville; his mother, Dollie M. Bowling of Booneville; four sisters, Sylvia Gumm, Booneville, DeEtta Thomas, Ricetown, KY, Martha Bell Rice, Waynesville, OH and Bertha Bowling, Blanchester, OH, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charley T. Bowling and two brothers, Boyd and Charley James Bowling. Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Powlas officiating. Visitation was held Thursday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening. Burial in the Marshall Cemetery on Wolf Creek. Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Chris Bowman, Charles Rice, Mike Youn, David McIntosh, Chris Bowling, Donnie Joe Sizemore, Jerrod Bowling and Kent Becknell. Booneville Sentinel April 23, 2008.
