Pearl Ester "Granny" Bowman, 85, of Springfield died March 25, 2003, at Cox Walnut Lawn Nursing Home in Springfield. She was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Japton to John Columbus and Rhoda Lucinda Neal Kisor. She was a homemaker and a member of Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield. She was a former resident of Springdale, where she was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include five daughters, Gayle Turner of Rogers, Linda Pharris of Wesley, Elaine Littrell and husband Robert of Springfield, and Jimmie Cook and husband Cecil and Connie Thurber and husband Howard, all of Springdale; two sisters, Reba Rogers of Fayetteville and Audrey Bowers of Springdale; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with Joe Bright and John Alley officiating. Burial will be in Grose Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
