Elizabeth passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She lived in Kansas and moved with her parents and sister, Shirley, to Riverside, California at age 10. She had lived in Salt Lake City most of each year since her husband, Don, died in 2006. She served as a hostess at Temple Square. During the winter months she returned home to her family and friends in San Luis Obispo, California. She left friends in San Diego, Burbank, Anaheim, Redlands, Rancho Palos Verdes, San Luis Obispo, and the Central Coast in California. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many positions, including Relief Society President (the last time at age 77), Stake Relief Society Counselor, Seminary Teacher and Primary President - she became a legend for her missionary efforts. Elizabeth was survived by her six daughters - Patricia (Ronald) Peterson, Kristy (Wayne) Lewis, Laurie (Kenneth) Jensen, Shirley Miller, Bonnie (Greg) Johnson, and Betsy (Chris) Lalli; 28 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and six more on the way. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 651 Foothill Blvd. in San Luis Obispo, California.
