As a young man, George attended the University of Kansas. He was a student in the University's Law School and it was at K.U. that he met the sweetheart whom he married. At the University, the athletic skills which he developed throughout his youth were constantly in demand on the first string of the College football team.
During the early years of his married life, he was an officer in the family bank in Kansas. Later he and his wife and children moved to Riverside, California, where their cobblestone house was home for the members of his family for over twenty-five years. For the past five years he has lived near his two daughters and their families in Burbank.
Faith, a generous disposition, and a devotion to his family were outstanding characteristics which made him a beloved father and husband.
