Hazel was born on the family ranch and died at St Claire Nursing Facility, 6240 - 66th Avenue, Sacramento. For many years Great Aunt Hazel lived on her daughter and son in laws pear ranch on Grand Island in Walnut Grove. Hazel was one of many school teachers in my family.
She often signed her name Hazel Brown Kennedy, Republican, wanting to make sure nobody mistook her for a Democrat because of her surname.
