Nellie May is the 12th of 14 children of Ernest James and Jenny Mary Marcher Archambault.

She married Samuel Archie Bennett on October 19, 1929 in Barton, Vermont. They had a daughter, Kathleen Irene Bennett, born on Sept 16, 1930. She died as an infant on March 8, 1931 of broncho pneumonia. Archie died in 1971 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Nellie was hit by a car while attending her sister, Alice Hazel's funeral in Barton. She died a month later of an embolism resulting from her injuries, her father passing in the interim just four days before she lost her battle. So much pain no one should have to bear. She is buried with her sister Hazel and Hazel's husband, Glendon.
