PETER LATHROP DIES
Conductor on M. & St. L., Passes at St. Thomas Hospital Peter Lathrop, 614 West Nevada street, employed as conductor on the M. & St. L., died at St. Thomas hospital at 5: 12 Thursday afternoon. Mr. Lathrop had been in poor health for two years, and was taken to the hospital four days ago, suffering from uremia and pneumonia.

He was born at Ackley, Nov. 20, 1880, and had lived in this city for seventeen years. He married Miss Ella Burmaster, of Mason City, at Minneapolis, in 1912. He was employed by the Iowa Central before he bacame a part of the M. and St. L.

He is survived by one son, Harold, 13 years old; two brothers, Samuel and Thomas Lathrop, city and seven sisters. The latter are Mrs. Jessie Mattox, Custer, S.D.; Mrs. Arthur Windecker, Ackley; Miss Emma Lathrop and Miss Margaret Lathrop, Chicago, and Mrs. William Lama, Mrs. Tillie Dennet and Miss Mary Lathrop, city.

The funeral will be held at the Methodist church at 3o'clock Sunday afternoon. The body will be taken to Mason City Monday forenoon at 9:30 and burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery there. The church will be open at 2 o'clock and the service will be conducted by Rev. W. __ Cleworth.

He first married Edith MORRIS, 10 June 1908 in Mrshalltwon, Marshall Co., Iowa.

He second married Ella E. Burmaster, 12 Dec 1912 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They had the following children.
