Mrs. Lathrop Services Set

Services for Mrs. Barbara Lathrop, 100, of Melbourne, who died at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Evangelical Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pursel - Davis Memorial Chapel. Dr. James K. Delahooke will be in charge and burial, will be in Riverside Cemetery.

MRS. LATHROP was born Aug. 30, 1859 in Oskaloosa, daughter of Jermiah and Katherine Bellenger, and is the last of 13. She was also preceeded in death by four sons and one daughter.

She spent most of her early life in the Oskloosa and was married there July 3, 1878 to Harrison B. Lathrop who also proceeded her in death.

SHE HAS LIVED in Marshalltown since 1906, until she became ill and went to live with her daughter, Mary at Melbourne. Mrs. Lathrop was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Jessie Mattox, Custer, S. D.; Mrs. Arthur Windecker, Ackley; Mary, Melbourne; Mrs. Margaret Mitchell, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. William Lama, Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Lawrence Bowen, Marshalltown, and Thomas, Cedar Rapids.
