Hazel COCHRAN rites Monday

Hazel N. COCHRAN, 95, 509 E. Burlington, died Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born July 11, 1891 at New London, the daughter of Charles H. and Nellie HOBBS GABBERT. She married John COCHRAN in 1907 (sic. 1908) in Fairfield and she had lived here ever since. COCHRAN died in 1951.

Mrs. COCHRAN was a member of the First Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Fairfield Women's Club and organizer and president of the National Postal Supervisory Auxiliary. She was a housemother at Parsons College for several years.

Mrs. COCHRAN was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one grandson and one brother.

Survivors include one son, Richard of Fairfield, five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Florence COCHRAN of Fairfield, and one sister, Aletha ASHENBACH of Ft. Myers, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or the Fairfield Women's Club.
