Mrs. Bonness was born at Archer on June 9, 1878 to August and Anna (Rudolf) Retzlaff. She married Paul Bonness on October 22, 1902. Mr. Bonness operated the community store in Archer until his death in 1932. Mrs. Bonness passed away Friday morning in the Litzenberg hospital at the age of 87.
She is survived by four sons, Elmer and Harvey, Archer, Quentin, Woodland Hills, Calif., and Arthur, Grand Island; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Frazier, Archer, Mrs. Gerald Mattson, Central City and Miss Evelyn Bonness, Detroit; three brothers, Charles, Palmer, Henry, Rosemead, Calif., and George, Central City; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
