Ronald King Vance age 50 of Granby died at his home Wednesday after a long illness. Mr. Vance was born Oct 17, 1934 in Granby and lived here all his life. An autopsy determined that Mr. Vance died of internal bleeding, caused by a skull fracture. Thursday, Coroner Henry Freund swore in a coroner’s jury to investigate the death.
Mr. Vance is survived by three brothers, Rufus Vance of Neosho, Ralph Vance of Des Moines, Iowa and Bob Vance of Springfield, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Romayne Harrington of Carthage and Mrs. Rachel Smith of Seneca; two sons, Ronnie Vance and Joe Vance, both of Carthage; one daughter, Opal Jenning of Neosho and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Horace Hunsaker officiated, graveside services were at the Granby Memorial Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Clark-Shewmake Funeral Home.
