Ann R. chalupsky, 75, New Prague, died Sept.19, 1984, at the Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She was born Feb. 20, 1910, to Jacob and Anna (Kubes) Bastyr. On Sept. 26, 1932, she married Joseph Chalupsky in New Prague. He died Sept.1, 1968. She lived in the New Prague area all her life, attending Scott County District School, St. Wenceslaus School and New Prague High School. She was active in the Catholic Foresters and the New Prague Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a sister Mrs. Emily Beckman of Jordan; two brothers, Edward Bastyr of St. Patrick and Robert Bastyr of New Prague; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Frank Bastyr; and a sister, Ann (in infancy). A funeral service was held Sept. 22 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague with the Rev. Dennis K. Dempsey officiating.

Burial was in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Bastyr Jr., Edward M. Bastyr, Joe L. Tuma, Richard Bartusek, Eugene Tuma, and Gene Malecha. Mass servers were grandson Russ Sticha, Chad Pavek and Chris Novotny. Mrs. Norbert Stehen was the lector; granddaughters Laure Otting and Karla Sticha carried the offertory gifts. Arrangements were handled by the Bruzek Funeral Home, New Prague.
