Addison "Bud" Buse, of Belvidere, died Wednesday February 8, 2006 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.

Bud was born on May 8, 1925, in Oregon, Illinois, the son of Addison Sr. and Hazel (Artz) Buse. Bud proudly served his country in the US Army as a radar mechanic in Boca Raton, Florida. Bud married Bette Kahler at the First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere on May 13, 1950. They farmed in Boone County most of their lives, and Bud enjoyed his life as a dairyman and grain farmer. Bud was also the plant manager of Boone County Service Company in Poplar Grove until his retirement. Bud remained very active in his retirement, whether it was helping with fieldwork, growing his ever plentiful garden, or spending countless hours with his great grandchildren. He was a skilled pedal-toy repairman, the best playmate, and the proudest "grampa" you'd ever know. There were plenty of "back then" stories. Bud will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Bette, son Richard Buse of Rockford, grandchildren Jayson (Christine) Buse of Belvidere, Jeremy Buse of Rockford, great grandchildren Branden, Lindsey, Kaleb, and Tyler Bud, sister Mary Bye of Belvidere, brother in-law Eldon Fisk of Belvidere, brother Jim Buse of WI, numerous nieces and nephews and his wonderful caregiver and special friend, Aruina.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ida Fisk. Buds family would like to thank Dr. Doetch, Dr. Lowry, and the OSF St. Anthony Medical Staff for their care and support.
