Edwin F. Ayres, son of H. H. Ayres and brother of Mrs. A.G. (Carrie) Williams and Mrs. J.O. (Anna) Boyle, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1900, at Elk Creek, NE, after suffering just one week with pneumonia, aged 37 years and 4 months.
Mr. Ayres was born in eastern Indiana in 1862, came to South Dakota in 1887 and worked in Gettysburg, SD, with his father at the carpenter trade for several years, after which he settled in Nebraska. He leaves a wife, his father, and two sisters to mourn his loss.
