Miss Lizzie Hockaday Dead:

The grim reaper , Sunday afternoon, gathered into his harvest of mortals, Miss Lizzie Hockaday, the maiden daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.O. Hockaday, long sinced deceased.

The deceased was a member of one of Callaway's old and distingnisned families. SHe was a woman of splendid charactor and was honored and loved by a wide circle of aquantancies. Her life was one of unselfishness and filled with kindly deeds to those about her. She was also a devoted christian woman and her departure will be quite a loss to her church.

The deceased leaves one brother, I.O. Hockaday and two sisters, Mrs. R.B. Price of Columbia, Missouri and Mrs. Matt Wilkerson of this city to mourn her departure.

Miss Lizzie departed this life from the home of her niece in this city, Mrs. Lucy Kerr, after having reached the ripe age of 74 years.

Funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian Church yesterday evening at 2:00 o'clock by Reverend Merieachy, a former pastor and W.W. Stodd, the present pastor of the Presbyterian Church.

The remains were then given their last resting place in the new cemetaty.

Honorable E. w. Stephens and wife of Columbia and Iva Wilkerson of St. Louis were out of town attended the funeral.
