despite obituary saying "Berlin", Mary Bunge Pasdach was actually from Ballin in what was then Mecklenburg-Strelitz.


immigrated 1862 via Hamburg; departed Hamburg in April; arrived New York early June. Hamburg Passenger Lists are available on Ancestry, her husband is listed as "J.C.C. Pasedach" with wife Marie and child Wilhelm.


14 Aug. 1857 marriage of "Johann Carl Christian Pahsedag to Maria Sophia Friederike Bunge" was recorded in the parish register of Dewitz, Mecklenburg-Strelitz.


Mary was born 28 Nov. 1836 and was baptised on 11 Dec. 1836 again in the parish register of Dewitz. Parents were: Johann Bunge & Friederike Haker. The top of the page does indicate it is for baptisms in Ballin for the year of 1836.
