José "Joe" Orlando Armijo, our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, fell asleep in death on November 30, 2003.
José as preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elena, and his infant daughter, Lucia (Blondie).
José was born on December 7, 1921 to Bruno and Librada Baca Armijo in Albuquerque.
José grew up and married Elena on November 12, 1942 in El Paso, TX, where he was serving in the United States Army during World War II.
José was well known in the Albuquerque area for his clothing and life insurance business. Dad was the most wonderful father a person could have. José was a very hard worker all of his life, providing for his family physically, spiritually and emotionally. José always supported his children in every endeavor as they grew up. José instilled in us a deep love and respect for God and our neighbor. For all these things and many more, we, his family and friends, are forever grateful to have had him in our lives. We will very much miss our beloved father every day.
We know Jehovah God will keep him safe in his memory until the resuurection of the dead. John 5:28,29.
José is survived by his children, José, Emilio, Rick, María, Bill and Christina and their spouses, 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and sister, Cipriana Sánchez.
Memorial Services and interment will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel with burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
