José is survived by his seven children, Monica of Albuquerque, Brian of California, Anglica of Utah, Elena and Victor, both of Arizona, Amanda Jane of South Dakota and José of Albuquerque, special friend, Patricia of Albuquerque, three brothers, Emilio Armijo of Belen, Rick Armijo of
Minnesota and Bill Armijo of Albuquerque and two sisters, Maria and Christina, both of Albuquerque.
José was preceded in death by his parents, José and Elena, his first wife, Margaret, son, José Jr., daughter, JoEllen and sister, Blondie.
José was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country during the Vietnam War. As a Staff Sergeant, he was a member of the "Enchilada Air Force", Fighter Wing of the 150th Air National Guard.
José was a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. José was also an avid fisherman and an enthusiast of classic cars.
Prayer services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, with Deacon Bob Lewis, officiating. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., also at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brothers of the Good Shepherd, 10127 Guadalupe Trail NW.
