Executed by hanging with George W. Barnes for the robbery and murder of Joseph Philpot [also buried in this cemetery].

Newspaper accounts give his name as Kimball, Loss Kimble or some other variation. They also give his state of birth as Alabama.

He was a Confederate Army veteran who served in the 12th Regiment Louisiana Infantry.

According to newspaper account, he had a wife and two children at the time of his death.

He was a founding member of the "Nightriders" better known as the West - Kimbrel Clan. (Outlaws who terrorized the Natchez trace in Northern Louisiana.)
